For Minecraft Java 26.3 (resource pack format 97.1): Paper 26.3 with Packforge 0.2.0 or newer, and Geyser 2.12.0 or newer for Bedrock players. The pack needs no GrimsBladeFX. 1.1.0 is 1.0.2 moved to 26.3 like for like: every ID, look, stat and recipe is the same. The 26.2 build (1.0.2, EGWArmoryPack-Complete-1.0.2.zip) is in the 26.2 archive.
Armour sets for Java and Bedrock (through Geyser). Every set is one tier, netherite's: each piece has netherite's armour (helmet 3, chestplate 8, leggings 6, boots 3), armour toughness 3 and knockback resistance 0.1, netherite's durability (407, 592, 555, 481), it survives fire and lava like netherite, and it wears down as you take hits. The armour lines show in the tooltip. Admin give only, no recipes, except the Knight: its armour, sword, halberd and shield are crafted from netherite blocks (configs/knight_recipes.yml) by players with the Armory's recipe permission (see Crafting).
Every set is unisex. The skirts are their own sets, an option for anyone: wear one in place of its set's legs.
Java shows the 3D helmet and the painted armour. Bedrock shows the same and adds 3D extras; capes, coat tails, plumes and skirts move only while you move, never on their own. A set's small glow accent glows on Bedrock; on Java the helmet's glows, and the body's glows with the Entity Texture Features mod.
In this release: 7 armour sets, 4 skirts and 10 weapons, 82 items with their colourways. The sets: Ranger (Forest, Autumn, Snow), Viking, Pirate, Plague Doctor, Dragon Scale (Crimson, Emerald, Sapphire, Obsidian), Coral (Coral Pink, Reef Teal, Abyss) and Knight. Skirts for the Pirate, Dragon Scale, Coral and Knight. The weapons: Trailcutter Machete, Fjordhook Bearded Axe, Longship Round Shield, Pirate Cutlass, Ravenskull Plague Cane, Dragonfang Spear, Tidecaller Trident, Knight's Sword, Knight's Halberd and Knight's Shield.
The Knight moved here from the EGW Armored Pack
The Knight's armour, sword, halberd and shield used to be in the EGW Armored Pack (0.6.0). They now live in this pack, with NEW IDs: egw_armored:knight_* became egw_armory:knight_* (for example egw_armored:knight_helmet is now egw_armory:knight_helmet). The Armored Pack kept only the elemental weapons and armour (0.7.0) and is now the EGW Fantasy Pack (renamed at 0.8.0, namespace egw_fantasy): run that one alongside this pack. Do not run the Armored Pack 0.6.0 with this pack: it still has the old Knight and its iron-block recipes, so the Knight would be there twice.
- Old Knight items stop working. Items handed out under the old
egw_armored:knight_*IDs are not converted:
once the Armored Pack 0.6.0 is gone, nothing defines them any more and they lose their look. Hand out the new ones (/pf give <player> egw_armory:knight_helmet and so on), and change anything that names the old IDs (a shop, a kit, a crate) to the new ones.
- Netherite tier now, like every Armory set (it was iron-based with diamond-grade armour): armour 3/8/6/3,
toughness 3, knockback resistance 0.1, netherite durability. The sword is a netherite sword (8 attack damage; it was 7). The halberd is a netherite axe (10 attack damage) and no longer gives +1 block reach, and its pennant hangs still on Bedrock too (it used to flutter as you walked). The look is otherwise the same.
- Crafting: the same patterns, now in netherite blocks (the Armored Pack's took iron blocks; netherite since
1.0.2), with the Armory's recipe permission (see Crafting). The Armored Pack's had no permission, so only ops could craft them.
- New: the Knight's Plate Skirt, a second legs choice for anyone (admin give only).

Weapons
One weapon per set; the Viking also carries a round shield, and the Knight keeps the sword, halberd and shield it came with. Every weapon is netherite tier: the netherite sword, axe and spear keep their own attack, every weapon has netherite's durability (2031) and survives fire and lava. Java shows the shield's blocking pose and the trident's raised throw; Bedrock shows the in-hand look for both. A thrown trident is drawn by the game's trident entity, so it looks like a vanilla trident in flight.
| Set | Weapon | ID | In hand | Look |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ranger | Trailcutter Machete | egw_armory:ranger_machete_forestegw_armory:ranger_machete_autumnegw_armory:ranger_machete_snow | netherite sword: 8 attack damage, 1.6 attack speed, durability 2031 | a broad single-edged woodsman's machete: a straight dark-forged spine and a bright honed bevel flaring from a narrow ricasso to a broad belly and sweeping up to a point (its one wow, the silhouette), the Ranger's chevron mark stamped on the body, a collar with a finger lug in the buckles' metal (brass; silver for Snow), a grip wrapped in a herringbone strap in the hood's colour, a horn butt curling into a beak toward the edge; no glow, the same model on both editions (colourways: Forest, Autumn, Snow) |
| Viking | Fjordhook Bearded Axe | egw_armory:viking_axe | netherite axe: 10 attack damage, 1.0 attack speed, durability 2031 | a long ash-hafted bearded axe: a tall iron socket and a hooked beard dropping from a straight top line, carved runes along the head and down the haft, a leather-wrapped grip; the wow is the iron, the set's old iron with a honed silver edge that shines under shaders, with one tiny frost-blue rune from the helm inlaid in the cheek (lit on both editions) |
| Viking | Longship Round Shield | egw_armory:viking_shield | shield: blocks like a shield, durability 2031 | a round shield of linden planks painted woad blue, a bone-white interlace ring round an iron boss, inside a riveted iron rim; a leather hand grip behind the boss; the wow is the paint and the iron shining under shaders; the blocking pose is Java-only (Bedrock shows it held) |
| Pirate | Pirate Cutlass | egw_armory:pirate_cutlass | netherite sword: 8 attack damage, 1.6 attack speed, durability 2031 | a short, broad cutlass blade of polished steel that sweeps back and curves up into a clipped point, with a honed edge and a dark fuller, in a polished brass half-basket hilt (a rounded guard plate, a broad knuckle plate engraved with an anchor, side slats turned round the fist, a flat pommel cap) on a claret grip bound in twisted brass wire; the brass and steel shine under shaders and Vibrant Visuals; no glow |
| Plague Doctor | Ravenskull Plague Cane | egw_armory:plague_cane | netherite sword: 8 attack damage, 1.6 attack speed, durability 2031 | a long polished dark-wood examining cane, gripped low on the coat's black waxed leather over a blackened-steel ferrule, its head a raven's skull on a brass mount, the long beak hooking down over a slightly open jaw and pointing ahead like the helm's; a vial of the helm's green lens tincture inside the skull glints out of both dark eye sockets (the one glow). The head is its own part, ready for a premium pass; nothing moves |

| Coral | Tidecaller Trident | egw_armory:coral_trident_coralegw_armory:coral_trident_reefegw_armory:coral_trident_abyss | trident: 9 attack damage, 1.1 attack speed, durability 2031 | a twisted pearl trident a reef grew into: a ribbed scallop-shell crossbar with a coral lip, three coral-branch tines (the outer two leaning out, then up, a twig forking off each) with glowing polyps on the tips (both editions), a kelp binding and a kelp-wrapped grip, a coral collar over a pearl knob; Java shows the raised throw (Bedrock keeps the in-hand pose), and a thrown trident flies as the vanilla trident on both editions (colourways: Coral Pink, Reef Teal, Abyss) |

| Knight | Knight's Shield | egw_armory:knight_shield | shield: blocks like a shield, durability 2031 | a heater shield stepped to its point: a red face with a gold chevron in a steel rim, oak planks and a leather strap behind (Java raises it to block; Bedrock shows the carry pose while blocking); crafted from a netherite block and 6 oak planks |

Only the Knight has recipes, in configs/knight_recipes.yml: its armour in the vanilla armour shapes in netherite blocks, the sword two netherite blocks on a stick, the halberd three netherite blocks on two sticks, the shield a netherite block in oak planks. The whole armour takes 24 netherite blocks. Every other set is admin give only.
Craftable (7 items, at the crafting table, with the recipe permission below). The grid is written top row first: B is a netherite block, S a stick, W oak planks, . an empty slot.

Admin give only (no recipe): every piece of the Ranger, Viking, Pirate, Plague Doctor, Dragon Scale and Coral sets; the skirts (Corsair Skirt, Dragonscale Skirt, Tidewarden Shell Skirt, Knight's Plate Skirt); the weapons Trailcutter Machete, Fjordhook Bearded Axe, Longship Round Shield, Pirate Cutlass, Ravenskull Plague Cane, Dragonfang Spear and Tidecaller Trident.
Dreadplate Regalia on the same server: use only a Dreadplate release made for Minecraft 26.3 (0.3.0 or newer). Dreadplate 0.2.3 is a 26.2 release and breaks on a 26.3 server, so never install 0.2.3 next to this release. Since 0.2.3, Dreadplate's armour recipes each take a soul sand, so they do not share the Knight's armour grids. The Knight's recipes share their grid with no other EGW pack or vanilla recipe.
Who can craft it
Every Armory recipe carries one recipe permission, armory, so you choose who can craft the Knight:
- Players need
pf.recipe.armoryto craft this pack’s recipes.
pf.recipe.*grants recipe permissions for all packs. Use a pack-specific node when you want narrower access.
Without the grant, only operators and wildcard holders can take the result. Grant pf.recipe.armory to the appropriate group. items.open-recipes-without-permission does not bypass an explicit pack permission.
Make it admin-only (no crafting)
Every item with a recipe can be made admin-only: nobody can craft it any more, not even with the recipe permission, and admins still hand it out. Each recipe is named after the item it makes.
- Open Packforge's copy of the file,
plugins/Packforge/items/egw_armory/knight_recipes.yml(where/pf move
If the folder was copied directly into Packforge, edit plugins/Packforge/contents/egw_armory/configs/knight_recipes.yml.
- Find the item's recipe (for example
knight_halberd:) and change itsenabled: truetoenabled: false.
Change nothing else (leave its permission: line as it is).
- Save the file and run
/pf reload.
Admins give it with /pf give <player> egw_armory:<item>. To allow crafting again, set it back to enabled: true and reload the same way. Installing a newer release replaces the file, so switch the recipes off again after an update.
Bedrock (through Geyser)
- Bedrock players see every piece and weapon once the Bedrock pack and the Geyser mapping are installed (see
INSTALL.md). The armour bar matches Java's (3/8/6/3 per piece), and the durability bar shows.
- Bedrock adds the 3D extras named "Bedrock:" in the tables above. Whatever moves (capes, mantles, coat tails,
plumes, kelp, skirt panels) moves only while the wearer moves, never on its own.
- Glow: the glow accents glow on Bedrock, always at full strength. Under Vibrant Visuals the metals have a sheen
and the accents are emissive.
- Weapons: the shields' blocking pose and the trident's raised throw are Java-only; Bedrock shows the weapon as
it is held. The spear shows its held pose on Bedrock, not a spear pose. A thrown trident looks like a vanilla trident on both editions. Only the shields go in the off hand on Bedrock, and whether a Bedrock player can block with them is not tested yet.
- Smithing trims are not shown on Bedrock (see Armour trims).
- Bedrock caches packs by UUID + version + size: when you update, delete the older
.mcpackfirst (INSTALL.md).
Armour trims
Every piece is netherite armour underneath, so a smithing table accepts vanilla armour trims on it, as on netherite, and the piece stays an Armory piece. This release does not block trimming. None of it has been tried in game yet:
- Java: the trim is expected to draw over the chestplate, the leggings or skirt and the boots, on top of
the set's painted armour; how it looks there is untested. The helmets are 3D models and show no trim, and the item icons do not change with a trim.
- Bedrock: trims are not shown. The Bedrock pack never draws trims, on purpose: trim-reading custom armour
is linked to a Geyser crash on some consoles and phones (GeyserMC#6278).
Give: /pf give <player> egw_armory:<id>, for example egw_armory:ranger_jerkin_forest.
Static validation passed (strict converter build, posed clearance, 0 px round trip). Not yet tested in game.
