Grims Client Checker answers one question for the other Grims plugins: should this player get a standard inventory menu or a touch-friendly menu? You can see what your connection reports at any time, and you can set your own answer with /gcc menu, for every Grims plugin or one at a time. Your choice is saved.
New in 0.3.1. Bedrock phones and tablets get touch menus in AUTO, so you no longer have to pick mobile by hand.

Checking Your Client
/gcc/gcc checkRun /gcc check to privately view your current detection. Depending on the connection, the report can include:
- Java or Bedrock edition
- Reported game version or Java protocol number
- Device group and operating system
- Touch, controller, or keyboard-and-mouse input
- Pocket or classic UI profile
- Your menu, your saved preference, and what AUTO would pick
- Reported client brand and advertised mod channels
Every player can run /gcc check and /gcc menu. The result goes only to you, and you cannot inspect another player or change anyone else's menu.
- Java and Bedrock
- Private results
- Touch or standard
- Every plugin or one
- Saved across rejoins
- Phones get touch in AUTO

Standard or Touch
In AUTO, Bedrock phones and tablets (Android, iOS, and Fire OS) get the touch layout unless Floodgate reports a controller for them. Other Bedrock devices get the touch layout only when they report touch input. Java and unknown clients get the standard layout.
| Example connection | Detected details | Automatic menu |
|---|---|---|
| Android phone | Mobile · Android · Keyboard/Mouse (as Floodgate reports it) | Touch |
| iPhone or iPad | Mobile · iOS · Unknown | Touch |
| Android with a controller | Mobile · Android · Controller | Standard |
| Xbox | Console · Xbox · Controller | Standard |
| Windows Bedrock | PC · Windows · Keyboard/Mouse | Standard |
| Windows Bedrock on a touchscreen | PC · Windows · Touch | Touch |
| Java | Java protocol; OS and input unknown | Standard |
Your check may show an input that does not match your device. Floodgate often misreports the input of phones and tablets, which is why AUTO trusts the reported device for them instead.
Changing controls during one connection may not update the reported data. Reconnect before testing a different device or input method. Every join replaces the previous profile.

One Plugin at a Time
You can set a different menu for a single plugin. That choice wins over your all-plugins choice for that plugin.
| Command | Purpose |
|---|---|
/gcc menu <plugin> <auto|classic|mobile> | Choose for one plugin only; this wins over the all-plugins choice |
/gcc menu <plugin> | Show the menu you get in that plugin right now |
Plugin names
A plugin's name is its plugin name without the Grims prefix, so crops and GrimsCrops mean the same plugin. Press Tab after /gcc menu to see the plugins installed on your server.
| Plugin | Command |
|---|---|
| Grims Player Shops | /gcc menu playershop mobile |
| Grims Donation Center | /gcc menu donationcenter mobile |
| Grims Crops | /gcc menu crops mobile |

How Your Choice Sticks
- AUTO follows the device and input detected for the current connection.
- CLASSIC selects standard PC-style inventory menus.
- MOBILE selects touch menus, but only while you are on a detected Bedrock connection.
- A plugin choice, including
auto, wins over your all-plugins choice for that plugin. Changing the all-plugins choice keeps your plugin choices and lists them. - Choices are saved across logout, rejoin, device changes, restarts, and
/gcc reload. Only AUTO changes with your connection. - Java and unknown clients use the standard layout while connected. Your saved choice applies again when you join on Bedrock.
Changing a preference never rewrites the detected OS or input. It only changes the menu shared with integrated plugins.
A plugin has to be integrated with the checker before its menus respond to /gcc menu.
